La Leona Waterfall Adventure Hike, also known as Catarata La Leona, is a thrilling excursion operator and tourist attraction located in the picturesque region of Rincon de la Vieja, Costa Rica. We offer guided adventure hikes to the stunning La Leona Waterfall, which is a hidden gem surrounded by lush rainforests and diverse wildlife. The Office
Your tour will begin at our office. Here you will meet at reception and have access to our brand new facilities. We have bathrooms, showers, changing rooms, lockers and shoe washing stations. We also have a large variety of snacks drinks, watershoes, hats and waterproof phone pouches available for purchace.
The Drive to The Start of The Trail
Next you will be driven in our 4 wheel drive vehicle to the start of the trail. This drive takes about 5 minutes.
River Crossings
You will cross through several river crossings along the way. All of these rivercrossings are at varying hights and havevarying currents. There are ropes situated across these river crossings to help you along the way.
The Ladders Along The Way
You will also come across several ladders positioned to help you up some of the larger rocks you will need to climb ober along the way.
Triangular Rock Formations
Your first swim will begin at the triangular rock formations. This is a great spot to take La Leona Waterfall Costa Rica Photos.
The Final Swim
Another great spot to get La Leona Waterfall photos is before the final swim. You will be surrounded by the bright ble water with the cave of the waterfall situated behind you.
The Entrance to The Waterfall
La Leona Waterfall is inside a cave so you will pull yourself across the ropes and into the cave to reach the waterfall. This is arguably the most exciting part of the hike and is when you will get your first glimps of the waterfall.
La Leona Waterfall
Once you enter the cave you have reached the one of a kind La Leona Waterfall. This waterfall is the perfect place to get photos and you can also swim under the waterfall. This is a great way to capture memories and cool off after your hike.
River Tubing
If your still looking for some more excitment on your tour, then river tubing is the perfect add on. You will go through the rapids of the Colorado River right next to La Leona Waterfall. You will also have the option to add on a photo package and one of our guides will get photos of you and your group in action.
Zip Lining
Another tour that you can add onto the waterfall is zip lining. You will go through 8 different lines flying through the air, and over canons. You will get a one of a kind view of Costa Rica with this zip lining course.
Booking
- Having my own car, I will be driving myself to the location of the tour.
