The total driving time from Tamarindo to La Leona Waterfall is approximately 1hr 45min, covering a distance of approximately 92 kilometers. Start by heading southeast from Tamarindo and take Route 155 towards Santa Cruz. Continue on Route 155 until you reach Route 21. Take a left turn onto Route 21 and follow it until you reach Liberia.
As you reach Liberia, join Route 1 heading north and drive for approximately 7.3 kilometers. Look for the right turn onto the road leading to Curubandé (Rincon de la Vieja National Park).
