📍 How to Get to the Tour Starting Point
The Rincon de la Vieja Adventure Park is located about one hour from Guanacaste Airport, close to some of the region’s most popular beaches, and is a great option for a day trip from Liberia. You can get there by car or choose the option with transportation included.
Driving Directions from Liberia
A 4×4 vehicle is not required, but drive carefully as the road becomes quite bumpy towards the end and has some potholes.
1️⃣ From Liberia, drive north for about 15 minutes along Highway #1.
2️⃣ Turn right when you see a sign pointing to “Borinquen Thermal Resort”.
3️⃣ After about 5 km, continue straight through the village of Cañas Dulces.
4️⃣ Follow the road up a hill. After about 15 minutes, you will pass the resort “Rincon Thermals & Adventures”. Continue for another 15 minutes.
5️⃣ You will see the entrance to “Buena Vista Del Rincon” on your right, marked by a wooden sign. Drive through the archway and follow the road.
6️⃣ Continue for about 7 minutes until you reach the main building. Follow the signs to the parking lot.

If it rains, tours usually continue as planned. Activities are only cancelled in the event of lightning or thunder. If we can’t start an activity due to weather conditions, you will receive a refund for that activity.
What should I wear for the Buena Vista Mega Combo?
For this full-day Rincon de la Vieja tour, we recommend wearing comfortable sports clothing and closed-toe shoes for the adventure activities. For the hot springs, bring a swimsuit and you can wear flip-flops. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen before the tour and bring a change of clothes and shoes for afterwards, as they will get wet on the jungle water slide.
Can I bring my phone or camera on the Buena Vista Mega Combo?
Yes, you’re allowed to take photos and videos during the combo tour, as long as it does not affect safety.
We recommend not bringing your phone unless you have a waterproof case and a secure strap, as there is a high risk of dropping it during zip lining or getting it wet in the water slide.
