La Leona Waterfall and Zip Lining Group Tour

La Leona Waterfall Adventure hike
- Distance: 2km each way (1.5 miles each way)
- Duration: 3hrs total from start to finish
- Difficulty: Treacherous Hike Moderate Level

This tour is located in Curubandé, Guanacaste near Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. We will walk in the forest next to the Blanco River that comes from the volcano, go around incredible rock formations, cross streams of water, go up small ladders until at the very end we will pull ourselves with a rope inside the water to get into a big cave to see La Leona Waterfall.
Zip Lining Adventure

- Duration: 1hr total
Once you are done with La Leona Waterfall, you will drive for 10min to the next adventure center to start the next activities; You will zip line the canyon of the Colorado river.

- The tour begins at our office. To ensure a tour guide is available upon your arrival, please make a reservation in advance.

- A 4-wheel drive vehicle is not required to reach our office safely.
- Free parking is available on-site.
- The parking lot is monitored during all operating hours, so you can securely leave your belongings and luggage in your car if needed.
- Upon arrival, proceed to reception to check in.
- You will start by filling out a waiver.
- You can also request a locker to store your belongings during the tour.
- Receive a briefing on the hike, including what to bring.
- After check-in, you will be introduced to your tour guide.
- Your guide will provide a dry bag and a life jacket (life jackets are mandatory for all tour participants).
- You will have access to our bathrooms, changing rooms, and showers
- Depending on which time your activity is at you may start with the hike or start with river tubing.
- You will be driven in the company vehicle to the start of your first activity.
- After that activity you will be picked back up and taken to the office. There you will have a break between your tours to have some small snacks.
- After your break is over you will head to your next activity.
- Once your second activity is over you will be taken back to the office.
- You will all hike together to the waterfall with the assistance of your guide, you will then have time to swim in the waterfall and take photos.
- During the tubing tour, you will go through the rapids one after the other with the assistance of your tour guides.
- Once you are done with both tours you will be dropped back off at the office. There you can change and shower.
- It’s important to keep in mind that the private tour guarantees no one else will be in your group tour and with the same tour guide at the time you pick. However, there will be other people in the river and in the waterfall by the time we get there because rivers in Costa Rica can not be private. The private tour means that you will have a guide assisting your group only at all times and that you won’t be part of a big tour group while doing the tour.
